Adorable emergency backpack. Opened up to be bigger than I expected. Doesn't look very durable but does hold up well. the shoulder straps could have been better.

This is my second Kiva keychain backpack. I travel for work and like to buy friends small items. It's easy to carry and quickly expands if I see something I like while out and about. It's flimsy and won't carry a lot, but it's not meant for long term or heavy usage.

This tiny backpack was quite handy on a recent trip to Finland. It's surprisingly roomy. However before using it, try reinforcing the straps. I believe other reviews offered that helpful tidbit but I didn't follow their advice. The straps have now ripped away from the pack and it needs to be sewn by a professional. Of course taking it out to be sewn will cost more than what it costs. Still.... I carried about 10 books in it over a couple of days. I don't recommend that. It worked well for groceries and souvenir purchases while traveling. Although it ripped, (which really was my fault) I'm planning on ordering more of these items as holiday gifts for traveling friends.
If you really want a collapsible or folding backpack that works, I suggest spending $30 for one at REI. It's absolutely fabulous.

This is an amazing item for the price...first, it does what it advertises. It really does open into a small backpack or bag and fits back into a key chain. It is great for traveling...I use it as a gym bag or to carry extra items and souvenirs when traveling. I recommend buying this product.

I rarely travel without my little black bag voluntarily. On long walks, the straps are more comfortable than a purse. On impromptu grocery runs or quick errands it saves me from getting a pile of plastic bags. When traveling, it always seems to be halfway full with the little vital things. Usually it's a snack and drink, a magazine, a couple of gifts and a camera. When you're done with it, just stuff it back into the little bag, which takes about 30 seconds.
The fabric is lightweight, and the straps are not padded or bulky, which is a positive now that I am out of school, but would not work for a full time student every day. While it makes a great carryon bag, I have not needed to check it yet, and might hesitate to do so. The fabric gets a little crinkly, but in black, it still looks fairly good; I wouldn't hesitate to throw my comfy sneakers in it during a wedding.
